Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of public services
Ahead of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) coming into force on 25 May 2018, PCF and ACE were delighted to hear from the Information Commissioner, Elizabeth Denham talk about information rights and the statutory responsibilities of public bodies. With an ever-increasing quantity of sensitive material gathered by the public sector about citizens, there is a desire for people to know what is held about them, and great risks in failing to handle it appropriately. We were also joined by Dermot Nolan, CEO at Ofgem, on the UK Regulators’ Network to discuss their latest report of making better use of data and George Danezis, Professor of Security and Privacy Engineering at University College London, and Advisor to Privitar, on data privacy and security.
