Information rights and responsibilities, with the Information Commissioner

February 02 2018

10am - 12pm

With the ever increasing quantity of sensitive material held by the public sector about citizens, there is a desire for people to know what is held about them, and great risks in failing to handle it appropriately. The General Data Protection Regulations come into force on 25 May 2018, and public bodies need to be prepared to meet its requirements. So we are delighted to announce that Information Commissioner, Elizabeth Denham will be our keynote speaker talking about information rights and the statutory responsibilities of public bodies. We will also hear from:

•Dermot Nolan, CEO at Ofgem, on the UK Regulators’ Network report of making better use of data;
•George Danezis Professor of Security and Privacy Engineering at University College London, and Advisor to Privitar, on data privacy and security.

This will be a joint event with PCF’s sister organisation, the Association of Chief Executives. This event is sponsored by Privitar.
